TORONTO β The future of hockey is alive and well in the GTA, and this weekβs Rising Star Watch shines on none other than Camryn Warren of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens β the newly crowned 2025 OHL Cup champions.
Warren delivered a tournament for the ages, leading his team to a 3β2 win over the Don Mills Flyers in the OHL Cup championship final on March 28. His impact went far beyond the score sheet β though that was historic in itself. Warren was named OHL Cup MVP and finished the tournament by setting a new all-time points record, establishing himself as one of the most electric young prospects in the country.
With elite speed, vision, and composure under pressure, the young forward has all the makings of a future star in the OHL and beyond. Scouts have taken notice, and the hockey world should too.
GTA Weeklyβs Rising Star Watch highlights standout youth athletes from the Greater Toronto Area making waves in hockey, tennis, swimming, and more. These are the names youβll know before the world does.
