Advance vote for 2018 election begins Wednesday, October 10

Advance vote for Toronto’s municipal election begins Wednesday, October 10 and will run for five continuous days, from October 10 to October 14 between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 50 locations across the city. There are two voting locations in each ward.
Advance vote will also be offered at Toronto City Hall. Electors, regardless of where they live in Toronto, can vote at City Hall during the advance vote period.
An elector can only vote once in Toronto’s municipal election regardless of how many properties they own or rent in the city. With the exception of the advance vote at City Hall, electors must vote in the ward they live. 
All electors are encouraged to use the City’s online service MyVote, to: 
• find their ward and map 
• see the candidates running in their ward 
• find out if they are on the voters’ list 
• learn where and when to vote 
• view and print their Voter Information Card 
• find accessibility information about their voting place 
• view a sample of a ballot. 

MyVote can be found http://www.toronto.ca/elections/myvote. 

The Voter Assist Terminal is available at all advance vote locations, enabling electors with disabilities to mark their ballot privately and independently. 

An elector can vote in Toronto’s municipal election if they:
• are a Canadian citizen
• are at least 18 years old
• live in the City of Toronto; or do not live in the city of Toronto, but they or their spouse own or rent property in the city
• are not prohibited from voting under any law.

Electors are reminded to bring identification showing their name and qualifying Toronto address and their Voter Information Card when they go to vote.
