TORONTO, April 28, 2020 /CNW/ – Amazon Prime Video announced the launch of Prime Video Store today for Canada, giving customers the opportunity to rent or buy new movie releases, including Hollywood blockbusters and fan-favourite titles. The new launch is an addition to the large selection of popular and exclusive movies and TV shows available to stream on Prime Video at no extra cost to a Prime membership, including Amazon Original series and movies like Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Boys, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleabag, The Expanse and The Aeronauts.
Movies in the Prime Video Store will be available to rent or buy from major US studios, including Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, Paramount and Lionsgate, with recent new titles such as Jumanji: The Next Level, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Joker all available to watch now. Local movie studios, including, Elevation in Canada, will also be available with local titles at launch. All Amazon customers can rent or buy titles in the Prime Video Store through primevideo.com and the Prime Video app on Smart TVs, Android mobile devices, game consoles, streaming media players including Amazon Fire TV, and select MVPDs.

Prime Video Store joins Prime Video’s selection of great entertainment to watch, including popular movies and TV shows available on Prime Video at no extra cost to a Prime membership, add-on live or on demand TV channel subscriptions through Prime Video Channels, and now rent or buy the newest release movies through Prime Video Store, all available through primevideo.com and the Prime Video app across multiple devices. Customers can browse and view movies via the new ‘Store’ tab on the navigation menu across web, Smart TVs and Android. Previous rent and buy movies will be available to watch in the ‘My Stuff’ tab on iOS.
In addition to Canada, Prime Video Store also launched on Prime Video in France, Italy, Spain, and Australia today.
