Innovative homebuilder and renovation expert Peter Locke thanks clients, sub-contractors, friends and family with second-annual party
TORONTO, Feb. 16, 2018 /CNW/ – Inverness Design Build Group Ltd., a Toronto-based home renovator, is holding its second annual “Rock the Night” Event to thank clients, sub-contractors, friends and family on Saturday, February 24.
The event, to be held at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, will feature dinner and a performance by Joey Molland of Badfinger.
“We started this tradition of having rock concerts when we owned a hotel on St. Croix,” says Peter Locke, President of Inverness Design Build Group Ltd. “The concerts were a thank you for our hotel guests and they were tremendously popular. We have become good friends with most of our past clients and we wanted to get together to give them a great night out.”
Signed to the Beatles’ Apple label in the late ’60s, Badfinger scored four consecutive worldwide hits from 1970 to 1972: “Come And Get It” (written and produced by Paul McCartney), “No Matter What”, “Day After Day” and “Baby Blue”. In 1971, a cover of the Badfinger song “Without You” by Harry Nilssonbecame a No. 1 hit on the Billboard charts. Besides touring and recording with Badfinger, Molland and the band performed on George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass album and the Concert For Bangladesh, as well as performing on John Lennon’s Imagine album.
Molland has continued to keep the Badfinger flame alight through concerts and recordings.
