TORONTOAug. 3, 2017 /CNW/ – Cadillac Fairview (CF) is proud to announce it has completed its $21 Million revitalization at CF Shops at Don Mills, enhancing the overall experience and amenities at the outdoor lifestyle shopping centre. The renovations, ranging from pedestrian upgrades to expanded entertainment zones, are just in time for the centre’s peak summer season.

“CF Shops at Don Mills is more than a shopping centre, it’s a 40-acre, integrated community, featuring a range of independent and international retail brands, office space, elevated dining options, as well as a community park, three residential towers, with four to follow, and a future community centre,” said Niall Collins, Senior Vice President, Development, Cadillac Fairview.  “When we began transforming the centre last year, our intent was to provide further integration with the growing condo community and amplify what was already a vibrant, mixed-use destination where people come together.”

Extended entertainment zones and enhanced outdoor gathering places
CF Shops at Don Mills has expanded its entertainment experience zones at the junction of Leadly Lane and Karl Fraser Road, as well as O’Neil Road with patio zones and overhead catenary lighting. These new spaces, along with popular attractions such as Town Square, add to its notable roster of public spaces known for hosting outdoor events and activities throughout the year. A property-wide music speaker system has been implemented heightening the overall ambiance at the property for all guests to enjoy.

Upgraded landscaping, furniture, seating options and new art installations have revitalized the look of the property. The existing water fountain has been refreshed to include artistic features for guests of all ages to relax and enjoy the distinct outdoor amenities that make the centre a true neighbourhood oasis.

Improved pedestrian and vehicle amenities
Navigating the centre by car and on foot is now more convenient with updated wayfinding, signage and connections.  Guests visiting the property by car will appreciate new, illuminated digital signage and large entry identifier pylons. The free, four-level parkade has been updated with digital signage displaying real time parking counts for the 1,000 stalls. A new pedestrian connection off Karl Fraser Road has also been installed for better access to and from the retail area.

Pedestrians will notice improved walkways, which include widened sidewalks, new pedestrian connections, and improved site wide signage.
