Hall of Famer and NBA Executive of the Year Brings 30 Years of NBA Experience to ISE

ISE President and Chief Executive Officer Hank Ratner announced today that Hall of Fame basketball player and former NBA Executive of the Year Joe Dumars has joined the company as president of ISE Basketball. A pillar of sportsmanship and a three-time NBA champion with nearly three decades of NBA experience as a player and front office executive, Dumars brings an unrivaled resume both on and off the basketball court to ISE.

As President of ISE Basketball, Dumars will oversee all aspects of the basketball representation business with a focus on growth and providing clients best in class service at every stage of their career both on and off the court. As an integral member of ISE’s executive leadership team, Dumars will also be a key leader in moving the company forward with its vision for the future, including expanding ISE’s operations and client offerings in new and creative ways.

Dumars is a Hall of Fame guard who served as president of basketball operations for the Detroit Pistons for 13 seasons. He guided the Pistons to the 2004 NBA Championship, six straight Eastern Conference Finals appearances and two Conference Championships, and was named NBA Executive of the Year in 2003. In 2010, Sports Illustrated named Dumars one of the Top 10 sports executives of the past decade. During his 14-year NBA career, Dumars won two titles, was named NBA Finals MVP, appeared in six All-Star games and was named All-Defensive First Team four times. He was also a member of the 1994 gold-medal USA Basketball World Championships team. A true leader on and off the court, Dumars is known for mentoring young NBA players and was the first recipient of the NBA Sportsmanship Award, which was subsequently named the Joe Dumars Trophy. With nearly 30 years experience in the NBA, Dumars has forged relationships across the globe in basketball with owners and executives at the highest levels.

Outside of basketball Dumars’ was the founder and CEO of automotive supply company Detroit Technologies Inc. for 10 years, helping the company grow to more than $120m in sales. He is also the founder and owner of the Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse, a multi-purpose, indoor sports complex and entertainment facility with two locations in Detroit.
