TORONTO — Toronto-born visual artist Julia Brevetti will unveil new original works from her emotionally charged Skull Collection during a special one-night exhibition at Bar Pendry, as part of the Pendry West Hollywood’s June Artist in Residence program. The event takes place on Wednesday, June 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and is presented in partnership with Enable Gallery.
Brevetti, whose work fuses pop art, realism, and contemporary abstraction, has quickly become one of Canada’s most talked-about emerging talents. Her rise has been fueled in part by viral attention on TikTok and Instagram, where her process videos and colorful palettes have earned her over 100,000 followers in just the past year.
The Skull Collection marks a bold new chapter in her practice. Drawing on the raw symbolism of the skull as a universal icon of mortality and impermanence, the series uses primary and secondary hues—inspired by her childhood art classes—to present vibrant, intimate reflections on life, memory, and transformation. Each of the 10–12 pieces in the series strips away ego and identity, inviting viewers to explore deeper emotions through colour and shape.
“This is a significant step forward in my journey as an artist,” said Brevetti. “To have my work shown at Pendry West Hollywood and to be represented by Enable Gallery means the world. I’m excited to see where this takes me next.”
From Toronto Studios to International Galleries
Since late 2024, Brevetti’s profile has grown rapidly. Her work has been showcased at Zany Studios inside the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, Rainy Days Gallery in Denver, and through Toronto-based commissions for Queen’s Harbour and Cry Baby Gallery. She has also completed live art activations for STACKTV during the Rick and Morty Season 8 premiere and spoke on a digital careers panel at Departure Festival Toronto earlier this year.
The Pendry exhibit marks her Los Angeles debut under Enable Gallery’s representation, bringing her work to a new West Coast audience in one of Hollywood’s most iconic locations—8430 Sunset Boulevard.
From Toronto studios to Sunset Boulevard, Julia Brevetti is proving that Canadian creativity knows no borders.
