Tunnel Invert Concrete Pour at Allen Rd and Eglinton

As crews prepare for track and system installation in the new LRT tunnels, concrete must be poured to form the foundation of the track. The site of the future Cedarvale will be used as the access points to the tunnels. Trucks will access the tunnel shafts from both the east and west sides of Allen Road, pump concrete into a pipe, and drive the concrete down the tunnel to where it will be poured into place. Approximately 1-2 trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone every hour. This work is expected to begin as early as March 27, 2017 and last for be approximately 4-5 months. CLICK HERE for details
STARTING IN MAY:
Support of Excavation at Cedarvale Station

The next major phase of work at Cedarvale Station will involve further utility relocations as well as the start of support of excavation work (also known as shoring). The entire shoring and road decking installation process will take approximately 18-24 months to complete and will be conducted in phases. The first phase of shoring will occur at the future east and south entrances and is expected to begin in May 2017. Everden Road will also be closed at Eglinton Avenue to accommodate this work.
