Golf season tees off at City of Toronto courses
Spring is finally here and four City of Toronto golf courses have reopened for the season. Dentonia Park, Don Valley, Humber Valley and Tam O’Shanter courses are open today with early spring rates in effect. Scarlett Woods will reopen as soon as course conditions allow.
Toronto’s courses are affordable, high quality and TTC-accessible. Each course has its own unique characteristics and offers something for all skill levels. As part of the City’s efforts to make golf accessible to everyone, the courses offer reasonable rates and a variety of promotions including discounts for juniors and seniors, family nights and early bird, twilight and nine-hole rates.
The courses offer affordable clinics and annual memberships for junior golfers ages 10 to 18. Private, semi-private and group lessons taught by PGA of Canada instructors are also available. Some courses also offer leagues for women.
Two of the City’s golf courses were recognized by the Golfers’ Choice Awards (Toronto Sun Golf Guide). Humber Valley won gold for Best Value Golf Course in the Greater Toronto Area and Dentonia Park was awarded silver for Best Par 3/Executive Golf Course in the GTA.
