Other projects receiving funding this year include events to connect people with employers, cultural and recreational programming, mentoring and tutoring for children and youth and parenting support groups for newcomer women.

“The projects funded by our new grant program address the practical capacity-building challenges that smaller organizations face. Ethno-cultural grassroots community groups have been calling for resources to promote diversity and inclusion. Today, our government answers that call.”

MPP Trinity-Spadina

“The funding provided through this grant by the Government of Ontario increases our capacity to reach more young people, builds stronger community partnerships, and improves the quality of the training we deliver. I would encourage other non-profits to take advantage of the opportunity to expand their programming by partnering with a government that understands what diversity and inclusion are all about.”
