Overnight Road Repair Work Starting March 12: Traffic Lane Reductions at Don Mills & Eglinton

What Work is Taking Place?

Ongoing road maintenance continues around the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East intersection. The rebuilding of catch basins on Eglinton Avenue East between the DVP and Don Mills Road will start on Monday, March 12, 2018 for approximately one week.

To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight.

Hours of Work

  • Overnight work will start on Monday, March 12, 2018 for approximately one week until Saturday, March 17, 2018.
  • Work will be performed each night from 8:00pm until the following morning at 5:00am.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Sidewalk and/or crosswalk closures may be in effect.
  • Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.

Traffic Impacts

  • Each night, westRpbound Eglinton traffic will be reduced to one lane between Don Mills and the DVP off ramp.
  • The roadway will be restored each morning in advance of morning rush hour.

Transit Information

Relocation and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers. Please watch for posted notices indicating new information.
