Overnight Water Shut-off at Eglinton Station

What Work is Taking Place?

  • In order to prepare for construction of Eglinton Station, crews have relocated water mains and sewers at the Yonge-Eglinton intersection to allow for piling and excavation works. In order maintain water service for all properties adjacent piling and excavation activities, crews will be connecting a new temporary water main with existing building site service connections. The following properties will lose water service temporarily during the water connections:
20, 30, 40, and 50 Eglinton Avenue East


Hours of Work

  • The connections will require up to 2 nights of work. This is the second night in the series.
  • Crews will be working on the connections from Wednesday, March 21 at 9:00 p.m. until Thursday, March 22 at approximately 7:00 a.m.
  • Please note that work could be rescheduled due to weather

What to Expect

  • Water service will be lost for the properties identified above.
  • Construction zones will be instated along Eglinton Avenue.
  • Residents and businesses near construction sites should anticipate minimal noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment caused by the service connections and removal of debris.
  • All access to businesses is maintained throughout the stages
