The Special Committee on Governance invites the public and neighbourhood associations to provide input on City of Toronto decision-making structures and processes.

City Council established the Committee with a mandate to consider the impacts on the City’s governance structure and processes arising from the reduction in the size of Council and make recommendations to City Council on any further changes to its governance structure.

The Committee will hold its next meeting at 9:30 a.m. on September 25, in Committee Room 1 at City Hall. The Committee will receive a staff report on the engagement activities to date that have been undertaken to support the Committee’s work. Members of the public are invited to watch the meeting online, make a presentation at the meeting or provide written comments in advance.

The Committee has also requested staff to consult neighbourhood associations. Members of neighbourhood or resident networks, associations or groups are invited to attend drop-in sessions on September 24, 25, 26 and 30, as well as a workshop on October 1. Neighbourhood association members who cannot attend the in-person meetings can provide their input through an online survey until October 4.
