Today the Minister of Finance, the Honourable Vic Fedeli, issued the following statement:
“Our government has received the report of the Independent Financial Commission of Inquiry.
We thank Commission Chair Gordon Campbell, and members Michael Horgan and Dr. Al Rosen for their diligent work to examine the accounting practices of the previous government and meet the August 30 deadline we provided to them.
We will take time to review their report to ensure the implications of its recommendations are considered in full, and release the report in its entirety to the public as promised in the coming weeks.
We are committed to restoring accountability and trust in Ontario’s finances.”
