“We are proud here in Ontario to pay tribute to the women and men who helped build our province and our country.

Today and every day we recognize the many valuable contributions that seniors continue to make in our society which enrich our families, our communities, our workplaces and our lives.

All of Ontario honours, respects and celebrates our more than two million seniors.

Your government is committed to making our province safer and more age-friendly for older persons.

We are working to make our beautiful province a great place for seniors and all the people of Ontario today, and every day.

Together, we can help create an Ontario where older persons are proud, respected, live with dignity, and are able to contribute to society.

Take a moment today to thank a senior who is important in your life.

It’s our pleasure to wish everyone a happy and healthy International Day of Older Persons!”
