TORONTO – For over two decades, Summerlicious has helped define Toronto’s culinary identity — and in 2025, the prix-fixe food festival is back in full flavour. From July 4 to 20, more than 220 restaurants across the city are offering curated three-course menus at accessible price points, giving locals and visitors a chance to explore new flavours or revisit old favourites.

This month, GTA Eats is digging into the standout spots, fresh menus, and global dishes that are making waves across the GTA dining scene.

Global Plates, Local Vibes

Whether you’re craving bold Thai spice, elegant French technique, or Caribbean comfort, Summerlicious has something for every palate. A few of the 2025 highlights include:

  • Clandestina Mexican Grill – Where rustic meets modern in every taco, ceviche and tequila pairing.

  • Diwan – Nestled inside the Aga Khan Museum, this fine-dining gem blends Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine with architectural charm.

  • Goa Indian Farm Kitchen – Known for its rich coastal flavours, this uptown spot reimagines Goan cuisine through a Toronto lens.

  • Wang Lang – A rising star in Thai street food, serving vibrant curries and wok-fried classics in a casual atmosphere.

Each location offers prix-fixe menus under the Summerlicious program, giving diners a chance to taste signature dishes at a fraction of the regular cost.

Why It Still Matters

Summerlicious was born in 2003 as a way to support the city’s restaurant sector during the post-SARS recovery. Now, 22 years later, its mission is more relevant than ever — celebrating Toronto’s diverse communities while supporting independent chefs, restaurateurs, and front-line culinary workers.

As Toronto continues to expand its identity as a global food capital, festivals like Summerlicious remind us that great meals can also build stronger communities.

Book Your Table Now

Reservations fill quickly, so diners are encouraged to check the official Summerlicious guide and book directly with restaurants.

Whether you’re looking to taste something new or revisit a trusted classic, Summerlicious offers a delicious reason to get out and enjoy the city.
