Construction Works at Science Centre Station and Western Surface Section (Sunnybrook Park, Aga Khan Park & Museum, Wynford and Sloane Stops)
Science Centre Station Updates
This week crews started hydro infrastructure work in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue East and Ferrand Drive. To conduct this work safely, the eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Avenue East between Don Mills Road and Ferrand Drive is closed. Access to Ferrand from Eglinton will be maintained, but reduced to half of the roadway. This work is expected to last for approximately seven (7) weeks.
The first concrete pour was successfully completed at the Brentcliffe Portal last week.
Median removal work continues as crews work in the centre of the roadway on Eglinton Avenue. As this work is completed, paving and restoration work may begin in some areas and, where possible, lanes restored.
August 9, 2017 marked a major milestone in the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project, as the first piece of track was installed at the future site of the maintenance and storage facility at Mount Dennis. The turnout track will be part of 8.5km of track system that will move LRVs through the MSF facility. The facility is the first component of the Crosstown project.
Thank you for your patience as we work to build this important project.
Please support your local businesses during construction.
