TORONTONov. 14, 2017 /CNW/ – Travel giant Booking.com1 recently released its survey of 19,000 travellers across 26 countries on travel trends for 2018, and wellness travel was at the forefront, with nearly double the number of people planning to take health and wellbeing trips over 2017.

And while spa and detox are still top of many wish lists, plenty of travellers are planning trips on their own two feet, with walking and hiking ranking highest to connect with local landscapes. Over half of survey respondents also mindfully reported that going on holiday is an opportunity to reflect and make better lifestyle choices – and the team at Wander couldn’t agree more.

Launched in 2015 to take advantage of this growing trend, Wander is now the largest magazine focused exclusively on wellness travel. Each issue reaches approximately 60,000 affluent North Americans interested in healthy lifestyles and travel.

With a proprietary content distribution model created by its publisher, Wander takes advantage of a collective distribution to reach a captive audience by creating a non-competitive environment for partner brands with engaging stories in their Live Well, Eat Well and Travel Well sections.

As we flow through Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, Wander’s latest issue is themed around slowing down. Summer is fast-paced and adventurous; the holidays are coming and with them, less time for self-care. Everyone is feeling weighed down by world events, and they felt it time to pause and provide nourishment for mind, body, and soul.

In that spirit, in these pages they offer up inspiration on slow food in the Quebec City region; a soulful retreat in a converted monastery; and the ultimate in connecting within, sensory deprivation through flotation therapy.

There is expert advice from wellness travel agents, a guide to selecting natural beauty products, and tips on achieving financial wellness plus a massive Fall giveaway for their largest-ever Must-Haves product section.
