Wayne Brady will be returning for the second year in a row to host the most exciting night in motion picture and television marketing – the 18th Annual Golden Trailer Awards, it was announced today by Evelyn Watters, Golden Trailer Awards Executive Director, and Monica Brady, the show’s Executive Producer.
The Golden Trailer Awards celebrate the most innovative and captivating work of film marketers: trailer creative houses, advertising agencies, studios and companies that create movie and television trailers, commercials and posters worldwide.
The 2017 Golden Trailer Award show and red carpet will take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 6th at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.
The Golden Trailer Awards presents awards in fifteen ‘show’ categories including Best Summer Blockbuster Trailer Award, Trashiest Trailer, Most Original, Best Teaser, Best of Show, and the much anticipated Golden Fleece Award, bestowed on the best trailer for the film where the marketing was considered better than the film itself. In 2014, the producers added the BOW award (Box Office Weekend award), to recognize the film with the highest three day weekend box office receipts. The fast paced award ceremony is capped off with the coveted GTA18 award for ‘Best of Show’.
Nominees are displayed throughout the venue during the opening reception. Following the ceremony, the winners of the non-show for International, TV Theatrical, TV Streaming, Posters, Pre Show, Book and Legit Trailers are featured throughout the venue during the post party, keeping the anticipation and energy level high. In total, Golden Trailer Awards are presented to winners across 114 diverse categories. Last year, more than 1,100 studio marketing executives, movie fans, celebrities and trailer editors were on hand to celebrate as Open Road Films & Insync + Beemis Balkind’s trailer for the film “Spotlight” took home top honors as the Best of Show.

ABOUT WAYNE BRADY
Five-time Emmy winner and Grammy nominee Wayne Brady is a true show-biz renaissance man. Actor, singer, dancer, improviser, songwriter – he’s done it all throughout his long career.
Currently, Wayne is starring as Aaron Burr in the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning “Hamilton” at the Private Bank Theatre in Chicago.
Wayne got his big break on first the British and then the ABC version of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? His name became synonymous with off-the-cuff brilliance. This past year he performed live on his sold-out world tour “Makin’ Sh*t Up” and guest starred on the new SyFy series AFTERMATH. He was welcomed back to Broadway and received rave reviews for his role as Lola in the Tony Award-winning production of “Kinky Boots,” while lending his vocal talents to both Disney’s animated series SOFIA THE FIRST and Nickelodeon’s LOUD HOUSE.
