Weekend events with road closures in Toronto

Several events this weekend will involve local road closures. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy these events. Businesses in the local areas will be open to pedestrian traffic, but some roads will be closed to vehicles. 

Festivals and other special events are important to the city, injecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually into Toronto’s economy. They are enjoyed each year by local residents and visitors. 

Toronto Raptors/Toronto Maple Leafs Tailgates and Viewing Parties
The following closures will be in effect to accommodate events:
• Bremner Boulevard, from Lakeshore Boulevard West to the east side of the parking garage at 25 York Street, will be closed on Friday, April 19 from 7 a.m. to midnight.
• Bremner Boulevard, from Lakeshore Boulevard West to the east side of the parking garage at 25 York Street, will be closed on Sunday, April 21 from 7 a.m. to midnight.

Environment Days
The south curb lane on Carlton Street will be closed from Jarvis Street to Sherbourne Street starting Friday, April 19 at 6 p.m. until Saturday April 20 at 5 p.m.

Easter in the Kingsway
Jackson Avenue will be closed from Bloor Street West to first laneway north of Bloor Street West on Saturday, April 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate this event.

Toronto Beaches Lions Easter Parade
There will be a series of road closures in place on Sunday, April 21 to accommodate this event. 
• Queen Street East between Fallingbrook Road and Woodbine Avenue, as well as Nursewood Road between Queen Street East and 24 Nursewood Road, will be subject to full and rolling road closures from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate parade formation and route. 
• Woodbine Avenue/Lake Shore Boulevard East will be closed from Queen Street East to Coxwell Avenue from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate parade dispersal.
