Award-Winning Diwali Drone Show Returns to Caledon at New Location

Caledon’s Festival of Lights moves to Brampton Fairgrounds with over 200 drones set to dazzle the night sky

Caledon, ON – The Town of Caledon has announced the return of its award-winning Diwali Drone Show, set for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at a new venue: the Brampton Fairgrounds (12942 Heartlake Road, Caledon).

The event, which has quickly become one of Caledon’s most anticipated cultural traditions, will feature more than 200 illuminated drones choreographed into dazzling aerial displays, reflecting the spirit and traditions of Diwali – the Festival of Lights.

“The Diwali Drone Show has become one of Caledon’s most anticipated traditions, bringing people together in a way that is safe, innovative, and environmentally responsible,” said Judith D’Souza Soares, Commissioner of Community Services. “By hosting events like this we’re strengthening connections, celebrating cultural diversity, and enhancing the quality of life for our growing community. We look forward to another spectacular celebration this year.”

Free shuttle service for residents

To make the event more accessible, the Town will provide a free shuttle service from the Southfields Community Centre between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. Return service will run from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Weather dependent celebration

The drone show is weather dependent. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, October 19, at 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks reminder

The Town is also reminding residents that personal fireworks are prohibited in Caledon. Under the Fireworks By-law, individuals caught selling or using fireworks can face fines of up to $615, with higher penalties for repeat offences.
