The initiative will feature 38 stops across 34 communities, stretching from coast to coast to coast, with events located within a two-hour drive for more than 75 per cent of Canadians. The tour will run throughout the tournament window from June 11 to July 19, 2026, with additional pre-tournament activations beginning June 1.
Bringing World Cup energy beyond host cities
While Toronto and Vancouver will host official World Cup matches, Canada Celebrates is aimed at expanding access to the tournament experience nationwide. Events will include live match screenings, football-themed activations, cultural programming, music, and food, creating festival-style environments for fans.
The initiative is supported by the Government of Canada, municipalities, and multiple commercial and media partners.
“As a Canadian, it’s incredibly meaningful to bring a taste of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to communities across the country,” said Vittorio Montagliani, FIFA Vice-President and Concacaf President. “Beyond hosting matches in Toronto and Vancouver, this FIFA World Cup will create a legacy for football in this country.”

Ahead of the main tour, Canada Celebrates will be integrated into the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, running from April 9 to May 26. The original FIFA World Cup trophy will be showcased in seven Canadian cities, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver.
Major brands and media partners involved
FIFA confirmed that several global and national partners will support the initiative, including Coca-Cola, Kia, Michelob Ultra, Hisense, McDonald’s, and The Home Depot, alongside Bell Media as the official media partner.
These partners will deliver interactive fan experiences, including product activations, viewing zones, youth programming, and community-focused initiatives designed to make the World Cup accessible across the country.
A nationwide celebration of football
Government officials say the initiative will help ensure Canadians feel connected to the tournament regardless of location.
“This summer, Canada Celebrates will bring the energy and excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to communities across the country,” said Adam van Koeverden, Secretary of State for Sport and Canada’s FIFA Sherpa.
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to feature 48 teams and 104 matches across North America, Canada Celebrates represents a significant effort to extend the reach of the tournament beyond stadiums—turning communities across the country into hubs of football culture and national pride.
