TORONTO – Canada Day 2025 is here — and the Greater Toronto Area is ready to celebrate. With July 1 falling on a Tuesday, this year’s holiday offers a chance to extend the weekend with pre-holiday events starting as early as Saturday. From outdoor festivals and free concerts to family activities and spectacular fireworks, the GTA is pulling out all the stops.

Toronto: Celebration at Nathan Phillips Square
The City of Toronto’s official festivities will take over Nathan Phillips Square from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday. Expect live music, food vendors, cultural programming, and a large-scale fireworks show at 10:00 PM, set to a synchronized soundtrack.

Mississauga: Canada Day at Celebration Square
One of the GTA’s largest parties happens in the heart of Mississauga, where Celebration Square hosts an all-day festival with live music, food trucks, and a massive fireworks finale.
🕑 Starts at 4:00 PM, performances by local artists, family play zones, and headline music acts to be announced.

Brampton, Vaughan, Markham & More

Brampton’s Chinguacousy Park hosts a full day of fun with midway rides, paddle boats, mini golf, and an evening concert and fireworks at 9:30 PM.
