TORONTO — Premier Doug Ford issued a Canada Day message on July 1, 2025, celebrating the country’s unity, resilience, and the renewed sense of patriotism that has taken root across Ontario and the nation.

Calling Canada “the greatest country in the world,” the Premier recognized the strength and pride shown by Canadians in recent months. “We have seen renewed patriotism and pride in Canada and a determination to protect our country, no matter what,” Ford said in a statement released by the Premier’s Office.

The Premier praised Ontario’s vibrant communities and natural beauty, saying the province—and Canada as a whole—are filled with “unmatched potential.” He emphasized the importance of continuing to work together to unlock that potential and build a stronger, more prosperous future for generations to come.

“Our government will continue to do our part by investing in workers and communities, advancing economic reconciliation with Indigenous partners and making Ontario and Canada more competitive, resilient and self-reliant” he added.

Canada Day events across the province—including festivities at Queen’s Park—brought together Ontarians from all walks of life to reflect on national identity and shared values.

Premier Ford concluded his message with well wishes for a safe and memorable Canada Day. “May God bless the people of Ontario and may God bless Canada,” he said.
