Mayor Olivia Chow was joined by Councillor Chris Moise (Toronto Centre), Chair of the City’s 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee, along with representatives from Pride Toronto, City staff and local residents. The ceremony included performances and remarks highlighting the city’s commitment to equity, visibility and belonging for all residents.

Pride Flags will also be raised at all civic centres across Toronto and the Toronto Sign will be lit in rainbow colours throughout June. Additional flag raising events are scheduled at:

  • Mel Lastman Square – June 4 at 9 a.m.

  • Montgomery’s Inn, Etobicoke – June 4 at 4 p.m.

  • Albert Campbell Square – June 5 at 9 a.m.

This year’s Pride Month culminates with the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29, from 2 to 6 p.m., traveling along Yonge Street from Aylmer Avenue to Nathan Phillips Square.

Throughout June, the City will host and support a variety of events, programs and services that celebrate and uplift 2SLGBTQ+ voices. These include Toronto Public Health initiatives at the Pride Street Fair and Family Pride events, as well as continued partnerships with The 519 and Pride Toronto.
