This weekend, the City of Toronto is opening outdoor splash and spray pads for the summer. There are more than 140 fun, free spray and splash pads across Toronto where families can cool down all summer long.

From Saturday, May 20, until Sunday, September 17, splash and spray pads will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information, including locations and maintenance closures, are available on the City’s Splash and Spray Pads webpage: www.toronto.ca/data/parks/prd/facilities/splash-pads/index.html.

Splash and spray pads are unsupervised water play areas activated with push-button features. The more than 140 spray and splash pads in City parks include water features like shower heads and spray jets. Caregivers are reminded to supervise children while visiting splash and spray pads. City wading pools will open in late June.

Quote:

“Splash and spray pads are fantastic places for children and Toronto families to play and cool off on hot and sunny days. Best of all, they are fun and free for all to enjoy. Thank you to all City staff who have worked swiftly to open splash and spray pads.”
– Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie (Scarborough-Rouge Park), Chair of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee
