City of Toronto update on COVID-19

COVID-19 Update

The City of Toronto continues to respond to COVID-19 as it faces a third wave of the virus. There are 1,329 new cases of COVID-19 in Toronto today. Since the start of the pandemic there have been a total of 139,296 cases of COVID-19 in the city. There are 1,012 people hospitalized. To date, there have been 2,991 COVID-19 deaths in Toronto. In total, 122,576 people have recovered. This weekend, everyone is urged to do their part, stay home and follow public health guidance to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Everyone in the city should stay home except for essential reasons such as going out for groceries or exercise and be sure to stay as close to home as possible. While outside of home, please keep careful distance from people from other households even when outdoors, wear a mask and get vaccinated as soon as possible when you are eligible.
