City of Toronto #Vax25 vaccination push taking place today in all 25 city wards

A mobile clinic at Bathurst Village Plaza was one of the many inoculation sites set up on Saturday as part of Toronto's #Vax25 initiative.

The City of Toronto’s #Vax25 vaccination push is taking place today, with at least one COVID-19 vaccination clinic in each of the city’s 25 wards. No matter where someone calls home in Toronto, it has never been an easier to get a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The #Vax25 locations were selected by Toronto Public Health in consultation with vaccination partners as part of the Team Toronto Mobile Strategy data approach, focused on removing barriers and bringing vaccines to residents in areas and settings that have low vaccination coverage and to residents who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19. Locations were also chosen to facilitate easy access in places that are part of Torontonians’ everyday lives.

The push – which includes 37 vaccination clinic locations across the city today – is part of Team Toronto’s continued efforts to make COVID-19 vaccines as accessible as possible and to bring vaccines to where residents live, work and play. #Vax25 clinics are being hosted by a number of partners including Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, No Frills, Rexall and Team Toronto healthcare partners.

COVID-19 vaccines are an important public health measure to reduce virus transmission, to protect against severe consequences of COVID-19, and save lives. Anyone in Toronto needing to initiate vaccination with a first dose or complete vaccination with a second dose is urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Details on clinic locations, hours and walk-in and appointment information are on the City’s COVID-19: How to Get Vaccinated webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/?accordion=vax25-clinics. In addition to the #Vax25 clinics highlighted this weekend, mobile clinics are in operation across the city: https://sites.google.com/mobilevaccinationteams.com/torontovaccination/home.
