The City named Amanda Horn’s “Shower Thoughts” the top winner in the 2025 Women4ClimateTO pitch competition for her seaweed-based packaging innovation. Council also appointed Dr. Michelle Murti as the new Medical Officer of Health, effective September 3, pending provincial approval. And on July 24, Mayor Olivia Chow will present the Key to the City during a ceremony at Cinespace Studios, honouring a globally renowned filmmaker who has helped shape Toronto’s film industry.
