What to Expect

From July 4th to July 7th traffic lanes will be reduced on Laird Drive between Parklea Drive and Eglinton Avenue East. To complete this work on July 6th (rain date is July 7) a short duration (approximately 15 minutes) road closure during off peak hours on Laird Drive between Vanderhoof Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East will be required.

Timing

• Work will occur starting July 4th, 2017 and take up to four (4) days to complete.
• Work can be expected between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM,
• Lane occupancy will be in place for the duration of the work.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

• Laird Drive from Eglinton Avenue to Parklea Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
• A short duration (approximately 15 minutes) road closure during off peak hours on July 6th (rain date is July 7) on Laird Drive between Eglinton Avenue East and Vanderhoof Avenue will be required.
• Existing pedestrian walkway closures at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East remain in place.
• Pedestrian detours are clearly marked with signage directing pedestrians to the alternate routes. Please follow the signage.
• Paid Duty Police Officers (PDO) will be present to direct and control traffic.

TTC Details

• Relocation of bus stops and re-routing is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
