Six small towns are primed to compete for a legendary concert featuring Country Music Superstars Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, Jess Moskaluke and James Barker Band
Coors Banquet is proud to announce the six finalists for this year’s One Horse Town contest. Selected from thousands of nominations by Canadians, each of the six finalists reflect the hardworking nature and pride of small towns across Canada. The six towns will compete in a round of fan voting to select the 2017 Coors Banquet One Horse Town. The winning town will have the opportunity to host a country music concert featuring multi-platinum Grammy-winning superstar Darius Rucker, 2017 ACM New Male Vocalist Award winner Jon Pardi, three-time reigning CCMA Female Artist of The Year and 2017 JUNO Award winner Jess Moskaluke and hot newcomers James Barker Band.
The six towns named as this year’s finalists are Penticton, British Columbia; High River, Alberta; Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Orillia, Ontario; St. Georges de Beauce, Quebec and Paradise, Newfoundland & Labrador.
“Through all the amazing entries in the first round of this year’s One Horse Town contest, it was clear to see the passion Canadians have for their hometowns,” says Chris Waldock, Sr. Marketing Director, Coors TM. “Each year we see more and more Canadians sharing some big love for their small town. Nominations jumped this year, with over 2500 heartfelt submissions from across the country enter the contest, submit photos, and really show pride in where they’re from.”
With the second round of voting now open, Canadians over the age of 19 are encouraged to head to Coorsbanquet.ca/oht to vote for their favourite of the top six towns. The town that receives the most votes by July 9, at 11:59 PM will be announced the winner of One Horse Town and will host a concert open to local residents of that town.
