Ottawa, Canada, August 8, 2019 – Gusto Worldwide Media is proud to announce that DNA Dinners has been nominated for a Content Innovation Award in the Factual TV Project of the Year category. Presented by Digital Television Europe (DTVE) and TBI Vision, the Content Innovation Awards (CIA) celebrate companies that are helping transform today’s global television industry. This is the third CIA nomination for Gusto, which has been previously shortlisted in content and channel categories.
The Factual TV Project of the Year award recognizes productions that were a domestic hit and went on to be an international success. In November 2018, DNA Dinners made its world premiere to millions of Canadian viewers and was quickly picked up by several global networks. In the next year, DNA Dinners will air in Singapore, UK, US, MENA, Poland, Turkey, Alto Adige, Capodistria, Italy, Lichtenstein, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, and Vatican City.
“DNA Dinners was an ambitious production, but we were able to tell emotional stories that intertwined cultural diversity and food. Thank you to the Content Innovation Awards for this nomination, it’s an honour to have our hard work recognized,” said Chris Knight, President and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. “We’re looking forward to bringing the format and series to new territories.”
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on October 13th at the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic in Cannes, France. Gusto Worldwide Media will be represented by Chris Knight, who will also be attending MIPCOM to meet with channel and content partners.
