FIFA World Cup 2026 50/50 Draw will fund grassroots soccer infrastructure and youth programming in Ontario and British Columbia

TORONTO — Soccer fans in Ontario and British Columbia will soon have a new way to participate in the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ while supporting the future of the sport in Canada.

FIFA and Canada Soccer have announced the launch of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Canada 50/50 Draws, an initiative designed to raise funds for grassroots soccer infrastructure and youth programming in the two Canadian host provinces.

The program will allow eligible participants to purchase 50/50 tickets for a chance to win a growing jackpot while contributing directly to community soccer initiatives. Fifty per cent of each provincial jackpot will be awarded to a winning ticket holder, while the remaining proceeds will support grassroots projects delivered through partnerships with Ontario Soccer and BC Soccer.

FIFA confirmed that FIFA26 Canada will not retain any proceeds from the draws.

Supporting the next generation of Canadian soccer

The initiative comes as Canada prepares to host FIFA World Cup matches for the first time in tournament history, with games scheduled in Toronto and Vancouver from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Vittorio Montagliani, FIFA Vice President and Concacaf President, said the draws are intended to create a lasting legacy beyond the tournament itself.

“Hosting the FIFA World Cup in Canada is an opportunity to bring communities together and support the next generation of players, referees and coaches across the country,” said Montagliani in a statement.

Football remains the most popular youth sport in Canada, and organizers say funds raised through the program will help address infrastructure and programming needs in communities across Ontario and British Columbia.

Tickets available across tournament venues

Beginning May 29, eligible residents located in Ontario and British Columbia can purchase tickets through the official website.

Tickets will also be sold at a variety of FIFA World Cup-related locations, including:

  • Toronto Stadium
  • BC Place Vancouver
  • FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto
  • FIFA Fan Festival™ Vancouver
  • Canada Soccer Houses
  • Canada Celebrates event locations

The draw will remain open until the final whistle of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ final match on July 19.

Winning ticket holders will be selected and notified on July 20.

Building a legacy beyond the tournament

Organizers say the initiative represents another effort to ensure the FIFA World Cup leaves a lasting impact in Canada after the tournament concludes.

Funding generated through the draws will support future soccer infrastructure improvements and grassroots development programs, helping provide opportunities for young players, coaches and officials for years to come.

The program follows other FIFA legacy initiatives introduced ahead of the tournament, including Canada Celebrates, which was designed to engage communities across the country in World Cup festivities.

With Toronto preparing to host six FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches and Vancouver hosting seven, officials say the 50/50 draws offer fans another way to participate in the event while helping strengthen the future of the game at the community level.
