TORONTO — A powerful new message has taken over the screens of Yonge-Dundas Square. Have Faith Productions has unveiled a billboard for its upcoming film “Forever 10”, a heart-wrenching drama inspired by the tragic story of 10-year-old Sammy Teusch from Indiana, who died by suicide after enduring relentless bullying.
The prominent digital billboard, located at one of Toronto’s busiest pedestrian intersections, introduces the film in development and carries a heavy message about the real-life consequences of bullying in the age of social media.
“We are truly humbled,” said Have Faith Productions in their official announcement. “Sammy will be Forever 10. His family will be forever broken. As a society, we have to do better than be forever sorry.”
A Film That Demands a Conversation
The upcoming film, currently in pre-production, will explore the devastating emotional toll on a family whose efforts to protect their child went unheard by the system. The project aims to confront how bullying, particularly in today’s digital age, can escalate beyond the reach of traditional intervention.
Remembering Sammy
The story of Forever 10 is rooted in the real-life tragedy of Sammy Teusch, whose story made headlines earlier this year. The film seeks not only to memorialize his short life but also to galvanize a global conversation on bullying prevention, mental health support, and institutional accountability.
The production company emphasizes that the film is not just a tribute, but a tool for change, hoping to reach educators, parents, policymakers, and students alike.
“We live in the era of social media, for better and for worse,” the company stated. “We have the power to end bullying, but we all have to be on the same page.”
