The 2026 campaign also introduces a revamped CEBL playoff format, highlighted by a best-of-three CEBL Finals series for the first time in league history.
A new leadership era in Brampton
The upcoming season is the first under a restructured leadership group for the Honey Badgers. The organization is led by CEO Al Whitley, who brings 22 years of NBA experience with the Dallas Mavericks, working closely with team owner Mark Cuban.
The front office also includes President Saud Juman, Assistant General Manager John Ross, and Director of Revenue Generation Blake Duffy. Together, the group blends NBA, CEBL championship, and major Canadian sports organization experience.
“Schedule release day is always one of the most exciting days of the offseason,” Whitley said. “This is only the first step of our schedule release, as our fans and the community can expect a strong and exciting slate of themes to be announced with all our games soon. 2026 is a new era in Honey Badgers history, and we are committed to bringing the very best product and entertainment to our fans and partners alike.”
Season tips off with home-heavy May

May will be an active month for the Black and Gold, with six of the club’s 24 regular-season games played between May 15 and May 30, including five home dates at the CAA Centre. Following the opening weekend, Brampton will travel to Ottawa before returning home for four consecutive games.
