Open-air concerts and late summer sunsets in the Heart of the City is what Chevrolet Indie Fridays are all about. The free summer concert series continue every Friday night at 8pm through September 8, 2017 at YONGE-DUNDAS SQUARE (YDS).

On Friday, August 11, before he takes the stage at the ACC next month, Alx Veliz will turn YDS into an electrifying dance party with his blend of the Latin vibes, R&B, and pop, alongside indie pop singer Michelle Treacy with music written to inspire. TatyanaD’Voce will kick off the evening while getting everyone up and dancing to her disco-inspired Latin rhythms and energetic vocals.

On Friday, August 18, YDS will be the place to be as Hunter Siegel presents #NoNeon, a Toronto EDM event series. The unique electronic/bass/dance music DJ, Hunter Siegel, hunts down new talent and breaks ground for artists in clubs around the city…and now in the Heart of the City!

On Friday, August 25, tap into Ontario’s roots and take in some international flair with co-headliners Terra Lightfoot and Klooch. From Hamilton, singer-songwriter Terra Lightfoot is a ferocious talent with a voice that commands attention. YDS will be transported to Eastern Europe when Klooch, the Ukrainian-Canadian rock band, shows Toronto why they are festival headliner-worthy in Kiev.

On Friday, September 1, Toronto’s weather can do whatever it wants because four-time JUNO Award-winning reggae artist Exco Levi and High Priest will be keeping things hot at YDS. Opener The Human Rights will bring it with their high-energy, modern roots reggae.

On Friday, September 8, there will be no need to stray from the concrete jungle to find nature when Indie band from the wilderness of Canada, Wildlife, opens for the woodsmen of The Deep Dark Woods in the heart of downtown. Leave the map at home and get lost in these Canadian tunes for the final Indie Fridays set of the summer!
