Isaiah Collier Brings Spiritual Jazz to Toronto with Three-Day Musical Celebration
Chicago saxophonist Isaiah Collier brings his acclaimed spiritual jazz sound to Toronto October 10–12, 2025, with a three-day celebration at 918 Bathurst and CONTXT by Trane.

Toronto, ON – Toronto’s jazz community will welcome one of the most acclaimed young saxophonists of his generation this fall, as Isaiah Collier headlines a three-day celebration of music and creativity from October 10–12, 2025.

Presented by Caliban Arts Theatre and CONTXT by Trane, the special series will feature Collier alongside an ensemble of leading musicians in tribute concerts and a Sunday jazz brunch.

A Rising Star in Global Jazz

Chicago/Brooklyn-based Collier is widely recognized as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, activist, and educator who draws on both tradition and innovation in his performances. He has shared the stage with artists including Chance The Rapper, Antonio Hart, and Wadada Leo Smith, and has played at venues ranging from Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola and The White House to international jazz festivals in Montreal, Ottawa, and beyond.

“I reach backwards, and forwards simultaneously when creating art and what is ahead of me is the past,” Collier has said of his musical philosophy. “After your solo, you think you’re done but the music is still going.”
