TORONTOSept. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Automobili Lamborghini Canada honors the art of Italian filmmaking at the ‘Mongrel House’ in celebration of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Lamborghini joined the Italian Trade Commission, Toronto (ITA) and ANICA, the Association of Italian film production, to create an Italian oasis at Mongrel Media’s Toronto International Film Festival outpost – “Italy at Mongrel House.”

As Canada’s leading independent film distributor, Mongrel Media is known for bringing the best of local and world cinema to Canadian audiences. The Mongrel House comes to life for the week of the festival, reviving the historic Campbell House Museum in the heart of downtown Toronto. The 1822 heritage house and museum was converted into a haven for festival goers, VIPs, cast members, producers and artists alike for the week-long Toronto International Film Festival festivities.

The Italy at Mongrel House lounge experience was open daily from September 8 – 13, offering authentic Italian delicacies. Commemorating the release of its newest flagship Super Car model, Lamborghini’s Aventador S made its red carpet debut, accentuating breathtaking style, cutting-edge design and dynamics; the pinnacle of Italian engineering and ‘Made in Italy‘ excellence.

The activation culminated with an all-Italian event on September 12, joined by the President of the Italian Film Commission, Stefania Ippoliti, and Matteo Picariello, Italian Trade Commissioner for Toronto.

“This week, we toast to Italian cinematography. Lamborghini is an Italian icon that proudly bares the ‘made in Italy‘ badge of distinction. We are honored to be present at the Mongrel House alongside our partners at the Italian Trade Commission to celebrate the arts, film and Italian culture in the Torontocommunity,” said Alessandro Farmeschi, Chief Operating Officer, Automobili Lamborghini America.

With the success of its Huracán and Aventador models, Lamborghini is well poised across Canada with representation in all major markets. Lamborghini is on a strong growth track with new vehicle sales in Canada, having reached another sales record in 2016. With the arrival of its Super Sport SUV, the Urus in 2018, Lamborghini is expected to continue on its steady rise as one of the top ultra luxury brands to sell across Canada.
