Mississauga is set to welcome back the JACKALOPE Action Sports Festival from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13, promising a weekend packed with jaw-dropping stunts, global talent, and family-friendly entertainment. After a successful debut last summer, the high-octane festival returns to Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre for its second year, bringing together over 500 athletes competing for more than $70,000 in prize money.

Presented by Visit Mississauga in partnership with TRIBU, JACKALOPE Mississauga is one of the largest free action sports festivals in Canada, featuring pro and emerging athletes in disciplines including vert and street skateboarding, BASE jumping, BMX, motocross, roller skating, bouldering, and breaking battles.

Global Stars and Local Heroes

This year’s standout attraction is the inclusion of Golden Ticket winners—top emerging athletes selected from hundreds of global submissions:

  • Jair Urbano (Colombia), Men’s Street

  • Secret Lynn (USA), Women’s Street

  • Ema Kawakami (Japan), Men’s Vert, age 9

  • Shuka Kawai (Japan), Women’s Vert, age 13

Also competing are standout skateboarders handpicked by TheSkateNomad and regional Wild Card entries from Ontario, including local favourites Ricky Skates, Sadie DeMill Chippedshins, and Hailey Mae Rudolph.

Adding to the star power, skateboarding legend Bob Burnquist—famously featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater—will be in attendance. Ontario’s Aunty Skates returns with her Learn to Skate clinics for adult beginners.

More Than a Competition

While the festival will showcase elite performances across multiple sports, it also invites attendees to join in with try-it sessions, pop-up gear vendors, live DJs, and food trucks. A beer garden and after-parties round out the fun for the 19+ crowd.

“Visit Mississauga is beyond delighted to partner with TRIBU again this year to transform downtown Mississauga into ‘action sports central’ for one weekend of thrills and excitement,” said Victoria Clarke, CEO of Visit Mississauga. “We invite everyone from here in Mississauga and beyond to come experience the unparalleled vibe of action sports at JACKALOPE Mississauga.”
