Kelly Clarkson Named Host of CTV’s First-Ever IHEARTRADIO JINGLE BALL NORTH Broadcast, December 17

TORONTONov. 3, 2017 /CNW/ – CTV announced today that Bell Media Studios is set to create the first ever IHEARTRADIO JINGLE BALL NORTH broadcast to anchor its 2017 holiday schedule. Hosted by GRAMMY® Award winner Kelly Clarkson, the two-hour, can’t-miss, holiday music event premieres Sunday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and CTV GO and WednesdayDec. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Much (visit CTV.ca to check local listings).

The special is being taped at iHeartRadio Canada’s second annual Jingle Ball event at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on December 9, where tickets have already sold out due to overwhelming demand. The holiday concert features performances from host Clarkson, as well as Backstreet BoysCardi BFergieFifth HarmonyNoah CyrusPost Malone, and Canadian artists Jessie ReyezRia Mae, and Virginia to Vegas. Further performer and guest details for IHEARTRADIO JINGLE BALL NORTH will be announced in the coming weeks.

GRAMMY award-winner Kelly Clarkson recently released her eighth studio album Meaning of Life. Her first release with Atlantic Records, Meaning of Life features a collection of smart and sensual soul-inspired pop songs that immediately belongs among the legendary label’s classic canon. The Texas-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter first came to fame in 2002 as the winner of the inaugural season of AMERICAN IDOL, before going on to release more than 100, #1 Billboard singles, with total worldwide sales of more than 25 million albums and 36 million singles. Clarkson has also released two children’s books (New York Times Top 10 best-seller River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and River Rose and the Magical Christmas). She is the recipient of three GRAMMY Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, two American Country Awards, and one Country Music Association Award. Clarkson was also recently announced as a coach on the 14th season of CTV’s THE VOICE in addition to serving as a key advisor on the current season’s knockout round (currently airing Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two).

Before Canada’s biggest holiday bash gets underway on December 9 in Toronto, fans can still listen to iHeartRadio stations across southwestern Ontario for a chance to win tickets.
