TORONTO — With over 460,000 TikTok views in just days, Canadian soul singer LOV is making waves with her new single “Mama” — a stirring anthem that honours the resilience and grace of mothers everywhere.
Fresh off the success of her breakout debut Matriarch, LOV has returned with a soulful, UK-influenced track produced by Montréal’s Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run, Katie Tupper). Released just before Mother’s Day, “Mama” blends smoky vocals, emotional storytelling, and groove-laden production into a tribute that’s hitting home across Canada and beyond.
“This one’s for the women who keep going, no matter what,” LOV shared. “I wanted to honour all the ‘mamas’ out there – with truth, love, and a little groove.”
The song’s viral push began with a preview clip on TikTok, followed by a stunning video filmed in the Prairies that drew over 300,000 views in 48 hours. Since then, Mama has gained early support from SiriusXM, CBC Music, Stingray, and national radio — and with it, growing acclaim for LOV’s rising voice in soul music and the Indigenous community.
With her full-length debut album already complete, Mama marks a bold new chapter in LOV’s career. Summer tour dates are rolling out across Alberta, B.C., Nova Scotia, and Santa Fe, with more cities expected to follow.
