Mae Martin to host Canada’s biggest night in music as Daniel Caesar and Billy Talent are honoured at the 55th annual JUNO Awards in Hamilton.
The JUNO Awards have announced that acclaimed comedian, actor, and musician Mae Martin will host the 55th annual broadcast, live from Hamilton’s TD Coliseum on March 29, 2026. The ceremony will air nationwide on CBC and stream on CBC Gem.
Martin, whose career spans stand-up comedy, television, music, and cultural commentary, brings a sharp, genre-blending sensibility to the JUNO stage—aligning closely with the evolving identity of Canadian music itself.
“I’m unbelievably honoured to be hosting The JUNOS this year,” Martin said in a statement. “Celebrating artists who are bold, genre-defying, and unafraid to be a little weird.”
Daniel Caesar to Receive International Achievement Award
One of the night’s most anticipated moments will see multi-platinum artist Daniel Caesar honoured with the International Achievement Award, recognizing his global influence and sustained success beyond Canada’s borders.
In addition to receiving the award, Caesar will perform live during the broadcast—marking a rare and highly anticipated return to the JUNO stage for the Toronto-born singer-songwriter, whose work has resonated with audiences worldwide.
Billy Talent Honoured for Humanitarian Impact
Celebrated Canadian rock band Billy Talent will receive the Humanitarian Award at the JUNO Awards Gala Presented by Music Canada on March 28. The honour recognizes the band’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives both in Canada and internationally.
The award underscores the JUNOs’ continued emphasis on recognizing artists not only for their creative output, but also for their impact beyond the stage.
Special Achievement Awards Recognize Industry Builders
The Canadian music industry’s behind-the-scenes leaders will also be recognized, with the late Alexander Mair, Sandy Pandya, and Vinny Cinquemani set to receive the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award Presented by Slaight Music. The honour celebrates individuals whose work has helped shape, support, and sustain Canada’s music ecosystem over decades.
William Prince Joins the Performance Lineup
Singer-songwriter William Prince will also perform during the broadcast, adding his acclaimed storytelling and distinctive voice to a night that aims to reflect the breadth of Canadian music.
JUNOfest Returns to Hamilton
Beyond the main broadcast, the JUNOs weekend will once again transform Hamilton into a live-music hub with the return of JUNOfest Presented by CBC. The first round of performers has already been announced, with additional artists and venues to be revealed in the weeks ahead.
