Maple Leafs Aim to Build on Game 1 Win Against Panthers

TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs will host the Florida Panthers tonight at Scotiabank Arena for Game 2 of their second-round playoff series. Toronto leads the series 1–0 after a 5–4 victory in Game 1 on Monday.

In the series opener, William Nylander led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Matthew Knies and Chris Tanev each contributed a goal and an assist. Goaltender Anthony Stolarz started the game but exited in the second period after a collision with Florida’s Sam Bennett. Joseph Woll stepped in, making 17 saves to secure the win.

Florida’s offense was paced by goals from Seth Jones, Eetu Luostarinen, Uvis Balinskis, and Sam Bennett. Despite a late surge, the Panthers fell short and will look to even the series tonight.
