PICKERING — Canadian alternative rock icon Matthew Good is set to perform at Pickering Casino Resort on May 28, 2026, bringing decades of Canadian rock history to Durham Region.

The concert is expected to attract longtime fans from across the GTA as Good continues touring one of the most recognizable catalogues in Canadian alternative music.

One of Canada’s Most Distinctive Songwriters

Matthew Good first rose to national prominence during the 1990s as frontman of the Matthew Good Band before establishing a successful solo career.

Known for his emotionally layered songwriting and socially reflective lyrics, Good became one of the defining Canadian rock voices of his generation through songs such as Load Me Up, Apparitions, Hello Time Bomb, Weapon, and Everything Is Automatic.

Over the years, his music has consistently resonated with Canadian audiences through its combination of alternative rock instrumentation, political commentary, and deeply personal themes.

Pickering Casino Continues Expanding Entertainment Lineup

The Matthew Good Pickering concert also highlights the growing role of casino entertainment venues across the GTA.

Pickering Casino Resort has increasingly attracted major touring musicians, comedians, and entertainment acts, helping transform Durham Region into a stronger live entertainment market outside Toronto’s downtown core.

For fans east of Toronto, the venue provides an opportunity to experience nationally recognized performers without travelling into the city centre.

Fans Can Expect a Career-Spanning Setlist

Matthew Good’s live performances are known for balancing fan favourites with deeper cuts from across his extensive catalogue.

The Pickering audience can expect a concert filled with both nostalgic moments and newer material, reflecting the longevity of a career that has remained relevant across multiple decades of Canadian music.

His concerts also tend to attract a particularly loyal fan base, many of whom have followed his music since the 1990s alternative rock era.

The May 28 performance is shaping up to be one of Durham Region’s key live music events of the spring concert season.
