Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie Tests Positive for Covid-19

Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie

Today, Mayor Crombie of Mississauga has tested positive for COVID-19 and released the following statement:

“I have unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19.  I am following all public health guidelines and will continue to self isolate at home.  I remain in good spirits and thankfully at this time my symptoms are mild.

COVID cases continue to quickly increase across our community and the Omicron variant is highly transmissible.

I encourage all Mississaugans to book their first, second or booster shots as soon as possible.

More capacity to support our booster campaign is being brought online everyday, through the holidays and coming weeks. Please continue to check for appointment availability.

It’s also important to wear a mask, rapid test, limit your contacts and stay at home if your sick.

I am incredibly thankful for the healthcare workers across Mississauga who are once again stepping up to the plate to get boosters into arms.  We owe them our endless gratitude.

Getting vaccinated, masking, staying home and testing if you are unwell remain the best ways to keep our families, friends and neighbours safe and healthy this holiday season.”
