Mississauga Steelheads fall to Hamilton Bulldogs in Game 2, Down in Series 0 – 2

The Mississauga Steelheads were facing the Hamilton Bulldogs in game 2 of their 2nd round 2022 OHL playoff series.  The game was played at First Ontario Centre in Hamilton Ontario. The Steelheads were down in the series 0 – 1 heading into this game after losing game 1 on the road.

Ryan Humphrey scored the first goal of the game for the Bulldogs with just 3:52 in the first period.  The Steelheads A. Prueter tied the game 8:29 in the first but M. McTavish put the Bulldogs back on top with a goal assisted by Ryan Humphrey at 17:15 putting the Bulldogs up 2 – 1 heading into the 1st intermission.

Luke Misa of the Mississauga Steelheads scored the tying goal 3:42 in the 2nd period. That was all the goals scored in the 2nd period and the game was tied 2 – 2 heading into the 2nd intermission.

The Bulldogs put the game away in the 3rd with a powerplay goal by N. Staios and an open net goal by Logan Morrison.  At the end of regulation the Mississauga Steelheads fell to the Hamilton Bulldogs by a score of 2 – 4.  The Steelheads now go down in the best of 7 series 0 -2.
