As of today, more than 65 per cent of Toronto adults are fully vaccinated, having received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine. The City of Toronto and Team Toronto vaccination partners are urging everyone who needs a first or second dose of COVID-19 to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Nearly 80 per cent of Toronto adults have initiated vaccination. Eligible residents who need a second dose and those who have yet to receive a first dose can be vaccinated immediately. Appointments for anyone age 12 and older are available at all City-operated immunization clinics and four clinics – Toronto Congress Centre, Cloverdale Mall, The Hangar and Metro Toronto Convention Centre – are accepting adult walk-ins.

Getting both doses of vaccine is the best defense against COVID-19, including the Delta variant. All people age 12 and older can book first dose or accelerated second dose vaccination appointment through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or by calling the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900. Anyone with a second dose appointment in late summer or early fall can easily rebook to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Toronto Public Health is reporting 90 new cases of COVID-19 in Toronto since July 16 – a daily average of 30 new cases. Toronto is now Step Three of the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen. As the city progresses through the provincial reopening framework, all people are reminded to continue following public health advice, including practising physical distancing and wearing a mask when physical distancing is not possible. All residents should review the City’s COVID-19: Reopening Guide for Toronto Residents for what is permitted under provincial regulations and City bylaws: https://www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-reopening-recovery-rebuild/covid-19-guide-for-toronto-residents/.
