Minister highlights strong relationship with road building and highway maintenance industries
By lifting the regulatory burden off the shoulders of business, Ontario’s job creators can grow and thrive.
“When they thrive, workers and families thrive,” Yurek said. “Our red tape reduction bill will help us cut regulations by 25 per cent over two years. We also passed the Making Ontario Open for Business Act, which makes it easier for employers to hire workers, and it will ensure that workers have easier access to jobs and career growth.”
Taking swift and decisive action to find efficiencies in government spending, while encouraging job creation, investment and trade, will help to support road building and highway maintenance companies.
“One reason why we are working so hard to find efficiencies, in every ministry, across the entire government, is so that we can fund the projects that matter most, and that certainly includes our transportation priorities,” Yurek said.
Minister Yurek also assured industry representatives that transportation investment will be featured in the government’s upcoming budget.
“Our government will make smart investments in public transportation, in highways, roads and bridges with an eye to improving Ontario’s road network and keeping it in great condition,” Yurek said.
