Oshawa Generals Fall to the Kingston Frontenac 1 – 6 in Game 1 of OHL Playoff Series

For the 8th time in history the Oshawa Generals and the Kingston Frontenacs met up in OHL Playoff action Friday.  It was the first game of their Eastern conference playoff matchup.  The two teams have played against each other 12 times in the regular season. The Generals won 5 and lost 7 of those 12 regular season matches.  The Oshawa Generals finished the season 6th in the Eastern Conference and the Kingston Frontenac finished in 3rd place.

Oshawa scored the first goal of the series with a beautiful backhand goal by Cameron Butler. Butlers first playoff goal was assisted by Calum Ritchie and Brett Harrison and was scored 7:16 minutes into the first period.

Paul Ludwinski tied the game for the Frontenac with 3:55 left in the first period.

It was all Kingston Frontenac after that scoring 2 more goals in the 2nd period and 3 more goals in the 3rd period.

At the end of regulation it was the Kingston Frontenac that took game 1 of this best of 7 series with a score of 6 – 1.
