Pizza Nova global ranking highlights Canadian brand’s success at international pizza awards

TORONTO — Domenic Primucci, President of Pizza Nova, has been recognized as a Top Executive at the 2026 Pizza Marketplace Top 100 Movers & Shakers awards, as the Toronto-based brand also secured a 12th-place global ranking among top-performing pizza companies.

The awards were presented on March 24, 2026, at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, highlighting brands and industry leaders demonstrating strong performance, innovation and customer engagement across the global pizza sector.

Only Canadian Brand Recognized

Pizza Nova was the only Canadian company included among the top-ranked brands, marking a significant milestone for the Ontario-based chain in an industry largely dominated by international competitors.

The Top 100 Movers & Shakers awards evaluate companies based on key performance indicators including growth, leadership and customer connection.

“As a Canadian company, being recognized on an international stage reflects the strength of our franchise network and the consistency our team delivers across every location,” Primucci said in a statement.

A Legacy Brand in Southern Ontario

Founded in 1963, Pizza Nova operates more than 150 locations across Southern Ontario, building its reputation on authentic Italian recipes and high-quality ingredients.

The company has remained family-operated since its inception, emphasizing values such as trust, integrity and consistency across its franchise network.

The recognition at this year’s awards highlights the brand’s continued growth and ability to compete on a global scale while maintaining its local identity.

Industry Recognition at a Global Event

The International Pizza Expo is one of the largest gatherings in the pizza industry, bringing together operators, suppliers and brands from around the world.

Being ranked among the top-performing companies at the event places Pizza Nova alongside some of the most recognized names in the global pizza market.

The award also reflects broader trends in the industry, where customer engagement, operational consistency and brand evolution are key factors in long-term success.

Looking Ahead

For Pizza Nova, the recognition signals continued momentum as the company looks to expand its presence while maintaining the standards that have defined its brand for over six decades.

“This honour reflects the passion and dedication of our franchise partners and team members, who bring care and quality to everything we do,” Primucci added.

As the brand continues to grow, its inclusion among the top global pizza companies reinforces its position as one of Canada’s leading names in the quick-service restaurant sector.
